I said I was done making Christmas cards and I had a different flower in mind to emboss and watercolor, but then I just got the urge to do a poinsettia. The problem is I don't have any poinsettia stamps. So I made one by stamping, masking, and stamping the big Doodle This flower. I just love that flower.
I had my flower all embossed and watercolored and it was lovely and then I stamped the sentiment, but decided that it wasn't bold enough. Well, I had a bit too much confidence that I hadn't moved my stamp-a-ma-jig at all and I messed up my card. So I cut it down and made a little gift tag and made the whole card all over again. I guess it was a fortunate accident, because I now have a really lovely gift tag.

A wonderful way to improvise my friend - The doodle made a fine pointsettia and great save on the OOPS piece. Looks like it was always meant to be. . . . I too, said no more christmas cards but you'll find a my pointsettia in the gallery too - LOL

That WAS a happy accident because I think it's so classy to have a card and matching envie!!! Plus, the flowers are gorgeous - great job on the watercoloring.

One would NEVER know that you didn't own a poinsettia stamp, Jen. Your poinsettias are magnificent and the watercolor resist with the gold embossing is beautiful.
