I enjoyed making this and my last card that feature the Inlay Technique. For todayÂ’s Clean and Simple Challenge, Chrissy (Chrissy723), the hostess, asked for creations using holly, mistletoe, poinsettia, wreath, and/or trees. My card includes holly and poinsettias.
To create the card, I embossed a piece of white card stock with the SU Softly Falling Embossing Folder. Using a poinsettia corner die from Tim Holtz, I die cut the bottom right corner of the embossed white card stock. I removed the white pieces from the card stock, which creates a negative of the die cut. Then I die cut the poinsettias again but in red and the holly leaves in green. I attached a strong strip of adhesive (i.e. Be Creative® Sookwang) onto the back of the negative white card stock cut out section to adhere the red poinsettias and green holly. This is the inlay process.
Using another set of Tim Holtz dies, I cut out the holly leaves and attached the pieces to the top left corner, embellishing them with red circles for the holly berries.
Enjoy, and thanks for viewing and commenting!

Bev, this is an absolutely beautiful card. Love your inlay technique. It is just the best. Your corner die of holly just finished it off in a spectacular way.
