Here's a little back story for this unusual & creepy card.
During Falliday Fest, I was happily immersed in my art room plugging away at challenges, pretty much ignoring all else in the house. My son was missing me and wanted to help me "get done faster" so we could hang out during Halloween week, his favorite of all holidays. So, I went down my list of items to complete and gave him the Copic Bleed technique. He went to work, spending a good hour, carefully coloring the design from the coloring book we chose. I don't have Copics and my Prisma Markers didn't bleed as much as we had hoped. While I LOVED how he colored the page I was really uninspired by how to use it, especially the other piece. So, seeing that I could let that technique slide off the list, I moved on to complete other things.
This piece remained in my head because my boy colored it for me, so I had to use it! I initially was going to put the Headless Horseman on it and give it to my son for Halloween but that didn't look good so I set it aside again. Then I decided to go with Christmas, some how. LOL! Ironically the other piece inspired me first and when I finished that I started laying pieces of die cuts on this panel I noticed one of the pieces resembled the Scream mask (another favorite), then the other pieces of the die set started looking just as creepy to me, and I layered them all up to create a Christmas Tree made of bones. UGH!! But still so COOL!! LOL! I decorated the tree with black, glittered baubles of hands, knives, and basic balls. LOL! It's pretty appalling but in the coolest way. And It's perfect for my son, whom, by the way is a 26 year old man. I wouldn't give this to a kid! LOL!
Thanks for Reading! whew!

Happily it fits this challenge this week.
TLC413/TLC611 Try a new technique: use your die cuts, and make them the focal point of your project: Minimal stamping -- use only a sentiment or small stamp for a background if desired.
It also fits the MIX197 Challenge: Make a card or project using your scraps & two mediums (Markers, Glitter, Ink, Dimensionals)

WOW what a concept piece this is! The hands on the tree are so cool and the fact that your son colored the bg is FAB! Great take on this MIX challenge!
