I always say the best ideas come after a turkey induced food coma...well, maybe, I don't entirely believe that...hang with me. Please.
The IC this week (Pilgrim's Settler) is jammed packed ideas for living your own best life doing it all. There was a PLUMP gorgeous turkey strutting across the (you'll have to take my word for it) site feed. All black and irridescent blue feathers, a beautiful bird...well, I just knew I wanted to bring out this PSX classic avian image. So since he most definitely is a critter, I am putting him in Shoe Girl's WT Challenge. Gobble gobble, Lisa! And finally, hey, my name is Susan and I am a Scrapaholic...this is also entered in the MIX197. Polly challenged us to dig deep and use things that had made the scrap pile (mine is groaning). The background was part of a series created for the Falliday challenges. Brushos and watercolor paper and then dry embossing with a ef.
A few Tim tiny staples, a gorgeous age stained vintage snippet of lace, fussy cutting my turkey and I am calling it done. This turkey is pretty blessed and than...
I appreciate your humoring my food coma...grin.

Susan, your card has a fabulous vintage feel and is a great use of scraps. Yet another thing we have in common, classic stamp love and the groaning pile of scraps!! Bring on the turkey induced coma, gobble gobble ;)

Another fab-o card Susan! I like the way the lace sort of emulates the feathered fan of the turkey....great use of scraps! Happy to have you play along in the MIX challenge....and I know you're not alone...the MIX197 gallery shows how many of us need to be in a 12 step Scrapaholic program ;) Hugs

Hello Susan, I'm a scrapoholic too and I love turkey and most of all I love every inch of this over-the-top fabulous weirdo arty mini masterpiece. Eunice says to say hello and she misses the occasional turkey induced coma.

I for one can't wait to be in the turkey coma state of mind!! Your amazing PSX turkey is amazing! Why did that company ever go out of business.... Love the background. I might be the only person who doesn't save many scraps - YIKES! - and when I do they don't stay around very long. Anyway, I love your card from the background to the beautiful lace to the gorgeous turkey!

Gorgeous Brusho background, Susan. I'll reply to your message later tonight - still on household chores. I love the added lace to this - and my, that is one handsome turkey. Hmm, not my favourite choice of dinner. I miss the leftovers, love turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches, but not enough to cook and eat the rest of the turkey.
