I follow Kathy from the Daily Marker and decided to try her 30 day colouring challenge. The problem is apart from sponging, which I've only just started doing, I don't colour. What a better way to learn than to stamp a few images and just do it. I did choose images that weren't too complicated but enjoyed playing ðY` ðY~
Our granddaughter loves tutus and animals (critters) so I've put them to use. I kept it simple and just found a piece of pretty paper in my scrapping stash, die cut the circle and popped the critters after fussy cutting them. Phew, that was nerve wracking as I'm lazy and prefer die cuts but I went around the edges with my tombow marker and covered up the errors. (Thanks Kathy for this tip ðY` ).
As I'm not a clean card person and fill up as much space as I can, I stamped the balloon and touched up the edges with my ink where it hadn't stamped properly. That counts for colouring..right? I wanted one of these cuties to be holding the balloon which I've seen on a few cards so nothing new. My marker pen was used to add the stitches around the circle, added some wink of Stella on the balloon and the critters' clothes, shoes, etc. Still some space left, so on go the bronze sequins. Even my hubby is impressed and I'm sure our granddaughter will love it even though it's not perfect.
Thank you for looking at my card and for this challenge. Happy day

I think you have done a great job with Kathy's coloring on your images. Great fun images you chose and I am sure your granddaughter will be ticked to get this fun card. Thank you for playing along.

Oh my, aren't they adorable! The hippo reminds me of the artwork on the cover of an LP we used to have - it had some of the music from Fantasia and something else too, and there were little dandelion-seed fairies and a hippo in a tutu. I can't believe that you are only learning to colour - these look perfect to me. I bet your granddaughter will love/loved this.
