For Kathy's Humane Society's challenge, create a thank you card with your pet or favorite animal on it. I have two beautiful, loving Pit Bulls. They've truly changed my perspective and have brought me so much love. This card was pretty special as all I could think of was all the Pit Bulls that are being put down and mistreated in the world. The image on my card is colored to match my boy, Charlie. He came to us while on his way to the dog pound. He had been neglected and mistreated. He was sick with infections, a broken tail and under weight, he was only 6 months old. Over the first few months with us we discovered he had been so abused he sustained minor brain damage. :(
He's hard to train but very eager to LOVE. I'm very proud of how much he has learned. My other one keeps him in line, reminding him, "Mama said no." LOL! Koni my girl, I could gush about her for days. She's the best dog I've ever had and I was terrified when she came into my life, abandoned and barely weaned from her Mama. She changed my heart for the better, allowing me the space and courage to help other dogs like Charlie.

The story of your dogs is so heart-wrenching. I believe that our pets come into our lives for a purpose and your guys have grown your capacity to love. Thanks for sharing their stories in hopes others who need adoption will find loving homes. Your coloring is really wonderful and I hope you will be able to part with this beauty and sent to the Humane Society. Thanks so much for joining my pet-themed challenge. I was really hopeful it would have some meaning to my fellow stampers.

Ohhh, I love that stamp and I must have it! Do you remember what brand it is?
Thank YOU from the bottom of my heart for rescuing Charlie and Koni! <3 I have tears in my eyes after reading Charlie's story. But I am so very glad that Koni has shown you that pitties are awesome dogs!
