FF16bejoyce: Barbara's challenge was to do a joy fold card - very fun, I hadn't ever made one before.
DDABC14Q: this week the alphabet challenge is the letter Q and the double challenge is to focus on quiet and peace. (See post 3645 in the Alphabet Challenge thread for more details.) I decided that the white embossed flower looks like Queen Anne's Lace so I'm going with that! And I think I get the double challenge because being still is definitely quiet and peaceful.
I stamped the Queen Anne's Lace in green on the flap just as background texture. I also stamped it in green using the MISTI and then stamped again with Versamark so I could emboss it in white as Queen Anne's Lace is. I also used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment in Crumb Cake and again in Versamark so I could clear emboss it. I added the blue butterflies for a pop of color and to use as a "close" for the card. I put Wink of Stella on the punched butterfly and attached with dimensionals. Inside is stamped "Praying for You."
Thanks for looking.

This is really lovely Catherine! I love this z-fold design, the pretty blues and greens, your wonderful sentiment and all the gorgeous flowers and butterflies! This card truly is all about peace and quiet in the most lovely nature-filled way. ~Karen.

Nicely done. I have done one joy fold card, fun but a bit more work than the average fold. I really like the embossing and all of the background stamps.
