I failed kind of spectacularly at this, and I was so confident going into it. I put my coloring page on top of my white cardstock and colored very slowly to allow maximum bleeding and when I pulled up my tape I expected a really beautiful background and I got a white page with a few yellow and blue dots. So I've made this card with the back of the coloring page, which is absolutely fabulous. I WILL revisit this technique and get it right. I guess my coloring page was too thick.

Try making a copy of your coloring page onto copy paper to color with the copics. You can put card stock behind the copy paper to accept the bleed. Good luck.

Your card looks great - love the colors even if the technique not work out as you thought.

I totally understand the challenge of the coloring. I had to go over mine a couple of times to get the color to bleed right and yet I had a very light weight coloring page. Mine bleed so much I ended up fussy cutting down the image and that fixed the initial image. Very pretty image you colored.

Jen,
your main coloring page turned out beautifully, I love the images! I would think that I center piece of paper would work tremendously! However the light colors on the other shade of card stock would work fantastic foreign inside of the card with its light shades of color!
