Card for DrSonja's challenge "Birthday Cards with a Special Wrinkle".
I've had the mulberry paper in my stash forEVER! When I saw this challenge come up, that's what popped into my head, mulberry paper! It's already somewhat wrinkled and textured. I stamped it first in Chocolate Chip with the damask background stamp, then spread the Multi-Medium onto a Very Vanilla panel & adhered the mulberry panel. When it was good & dry, I tore the edges & then sponged them with Close to Cocoa. I distressed the edges of the other CS panels with the distressing tool, & then sponged them also. Layered the die-cut butterfly over the Happy Birthday, which was layered over a piece of the old paper doily. Added some cream-colored pearls for accents.
This was a fun challenge, and a chance to get messy!! :-) TFL!

Your card is so very rich and warm and has an amazing vintage feel to it! I love the distressing and the beautiful sponging you did! The pearls are a wonderful accent to the shades of brown!
