For Dina's MIX challenge yesterday. Amazingly I got this made before work, but had to wait till after my nephew had left this morning to take a photo and get it uploaded.
Stamped my sentiment in Smokey Grey, then masked off a strip along the top part of the card.
Stamped the script stamp, then the flowers (with masking). While masked, I sponged the background with antique linen and stamped the foliage using Gelatos, and the grid with Deep Lagoon. Scored along each side of the strip, then coloured the flowers with Polychromos pencils and added Stickles.
Then got a gelato smudge, so added the butterfly (already in my box, but I embossed with a snowflake ef and rubbed with a blue metallic rub-on and the Gorgeous Grunge spatter stamp using Antique Linen and also a little bit of Stickles.

Oh Sabrina - this turned out so pretty - Love the stickles in your flower centers - it gives them so much life. And like my fairy, the butterfly looks like it was just meant to be there. I have that PSX saying and almost always incorporate it with butterflies . . .one of God's delicate masterpieces! I really like the score lines along your center piece - (and must remember that trick) It gives just enough definition without being overdone.

Wow - this is really beautiful! I am amazed at all the fabulous techniques you tucked into this wonderful card, and it still has a cas feel to it (that I love!). I am chuckling (with you) about the smudge and your butterfly cover up. The butterfly looks like it is meant to be there, and with this fabulous psx sentiment, it works perfectly! This is going right into my favs! ~Karen.

Sabrina, your card is a masterpiece! I love your combination of techniques. The gold touches are marvelous and your gelato smudge was a happy accident since it allowed for that beautiful butterfly!
