Hi everyone! Inking up this SOA stamp set for the first time. Just loved the funky style of this cake. I'm finally getting my sketch challenge done and combining it with this week's color challenge.
I know there is a lot of pattern going on here which is not something I typically do. The original card was going to be A2 size but I had the green AG cardstock that I discarded for a previous challenge. It matched beautifully so I did add this final layer.
*I used liquid applique for the "frosting" layers, stickles for the flame, and WOS for the cake and candles.
*Diamond pattern was created w/6x6 bg stamp (unknown).
*Sponged the layer strips.
*Embossed vellum with stars ef
*Heat embossed sentiment from same stamp set
This would've been a fairly quick card if I knew the direction I was going in. ;) I wanted to use clear emboss the cake but I had already added my frosting, hence the WOS. Unfortunately, you can't really see it in the photo. Ok, enough of my rant.
Happy creating and TFL!
