Such fun hats on today's Inspiration site. I used to wear vintage hats pretty frequently when I worked in a law office. Now they just look pretty on hatstands on top of my armoire. Anyway.. I chose THIS hat because I knew I had this cute Jack OÂ’Lantern w/ a pointy hat image I could use. IÂ’m also adding this to the WT601 Challenge to heat emboss..actually use scented embossing...well, the ep is called cinnamon spice but I have no idea if it smells good or not. I totally lost my sense of smell so long ago I can't even remember what things smell like. I simply don't buy any scented items unless I'm accompanied by some one who can test them out.
To begin, I stamped the Jack OÂ’Lantern, colored w/ Copics, added a little Wink of Stella to the stars & buckle then fussy cut it. For the white panel, funny enough, but I already had it w/ the embossed greeting & the big star cut out of it. SeriouslyÂ…I save everything! And more often than not, it pays off. I thought it made the perfect backdrop for Jack & the die cut stacked stars down the right when attached on top of a black layer.
Thanks so much for looking! It's just been posted on my blog w/ closeups, the inside & Copic colors:The Write Stuff

Julie, your card is adorable, so glad you added it to my challenge. The pumpkin is so cute and the embossed stars are a great touch. They look like they smell marvelous! ;) I'm another saver, it can be a quick and fun way to get a card made.

WOWZA! What wonderful dimension to the stars and their designs. This is a fantastic design! Sorry about your sense of smell, but the positive is you still have your sight and continue to give us such beauties.

Oh Julie, no sense of smell! I suppose you get used to it, but given how much of our sense of taste is allied to it, I feel sad for you. Whatever this smells like, those stars look absolutely wonderful. There's a very upmarket range of chocolates here which are decorated in those colours, and equally beautiful. Sadly, not as tasty as they look, they go in for rather avant-garde flavour mixes. And the warm glowing colours of your jack-o-lantern are lovely against the rich dark star colours.

What fabulous stars! So glad to hear you are my kind of girl --the save everything kind. Me too. Some of my best cards come off the scrap piles I leave behind. LOL
