A friend asked me if I could make a birthday card for her son who just became a firefighter. I couldn't say no to that! But I don't have any fireman stamps, so I went searching online. It is so hard to find fireman pictures that aren't totally meant for little kids. I chose this Dalmatian hoping he wasn't too little kid-ish. I tried to mature it by using very subdued DP for the card. I like it and I hope my friend and her son do too!

I'm going to show my age, but I remember the huge ad campaign with Sparky as a child. He's a classic and this card is worthy of all accolades coming your way!! Beautifully done!

My first thought on seeing your card was "great tribute to 9/11"
But totally awesome for a brand new firefighter - especially with those subtle stars & stripes in your bg papers.

Fantastic! This is perfect for a mom to give her son. What a great image of sparky. The papers are great. They add so much interest and detail, but do not take away from the focal point. Fabulous card. TFS

I think you did a marvelous job of making this card masculine!! The choice of papers did the trick!!
