I started the day by digging out a really ancient brass stencil and equally old spackling compound. Placed the stencil on some Navy linen and "frosted" with spackling compound. Let it set just a bit then carefully lifted the stencil straight up. While that was drying, I stamped the saying in white & embossed with snow EP and Die cut my leaf spray. My old Stencil - radical in it's day - is definitely stylized by today's standards. So I decided to keep the whole look of the card more simple & stylized. After I got all my elements placed, I added several drops of Liquid pearls to accent the flourish.

It's amazing how perfect the spackle and EP match in colour...always problematical for me with white embossing. The white and navy combination is classic, perfect for your retro flowers.

You created such pretty daisies and a flourish. I have some of the older stencils, also. Haven't used them in a long time. Maybe I need to get some of them out. Pretty card with some wonderful texture.

I can't believe how nicely the spackle worked!! It's perfect! I really love it against the dark blue......great contrast!
