Inspired by the art piece from the 9/11 Museum in NY called "Trying to Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning". A picture of that plus my perspective on this 15th anniversary on my blog:

This is so touching. I went to NY for the first time last year and at the memorial we were told how people refer to a ''9/11 sky'' - recalling the beautiful sky on that awful day. Thank you for this card today.

WOW I just discovered your card throught the Favorites thread...which lead me to your blog posts. I read them all..the 9/11 remembrances...thank you for sharing your perspective and this lovely card. You really brought the experience and those brave heroes much closer to those of us who don't have a personal connection other than being an American. Thank you Jennifer and thank you for your service to our country.

Jennifer, I missed this card and am so thankful to Cheryl for listing this as her favorite. Your story is incredible and bless you for your service to our nation as an Air Force pilot and then again in the commercial sector. Your tribute is beautiful! As I continue to read your archives for the past 6 years, I am reminded once again how precious life is and how short lived our unity. However, I love and am encouraged that you will remind us of a few of the souls lost that horrific day.
Thank you for a beautiful card and its interpretation!!

Oh, Jennifer, this card is outstanding, and its purpose is bitter sweet! Your card is a wonderful representation of the beautiful sky that day, and it's much better than remembering the gray matter flying everywhere in NY. I found your card through Cheryl and Deborah, who referenced both of our cards. The story on your blog brought tears as I was one of the ladies running for my life on 9-11 when flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon! It's a day that will always be etched in my mind and yours too! God bless you and keep you safe as you fly.
