I wanted this to look like an actual magazine cover with this fashionable woman as my main image. I colored and shaded her using drawing pencils and highlighted with a black pigment pen. I stamped some writing that tells what's in this month's issue (of course you can't read it). I decided the word "Create" was as good a name as any for my magazine. Gold dots were added for fun and of course some classic pearls with the help of the liquid variety. Some metallic gold thread was wrapped around the washi and that's about it. Come play the MIX challenge this week and celebrate black and white photography!

What a wonderful creation, Polly! I agree with Linda, this made me think of old patterns - I even have purchased a couple of the Vintage Vogue patterns when they released some. And the gold thread wrapped round the washi looks really fabulous, very stylish indeed.

Your challenge today is great, and this sample card depicts it perfectly. Remember those Vogue patterns....they were so much more chic than the Mcalls or Simplicity ones. Fav'd

What a fun challenge you have selected, Polly, I do hope to get a chance to play in between footy finals!! I love your magazine cover, fabulously done, especially with the addition of the gold dots and thread and your vintage lady looks so elegant!!
