I love winter and cardinals are so striking in the snow but in order to play along, decided to turn this cardinal into a blue jay. ;) I also had to substitute the colors for the challenge. SU Bliss Blue, Pretty in Pink, and Old Olive.
*Masked watercolor paper for white frame and used SU Pretty in Pink as a wash, then layered with a little Perfect Pearl (pink or rose - sorry I don't know the color). Set aside to dry. (I did have to use the heat gun before I stamped directly on it.)
*Stamped my Bluejay layers but the last one with SU Bliss Blue using my MISTI. By adding several layers of color I was able to achieve the darker hues. The final layer was stamped with SU Chocolate Chip.
*Die cut w/coordinating Altenew die
*Old Olive was used for the pine spray,
*The limb was colored with Tombow marker and die cut w/coordinating Altenew die, adhered with liquid glue
*Heat embossed sentiment "make a difference"
*Die cut "You" several times and layered for dimension. The top layer is heat embossed with Zig ep. Adhered with liquid glue.
*Tore panel for some texture
*Adhered panel using fun foam for a flat even layer using spray adhesive to AG card base
*Popped up Bluejay with foam tape
I'm pleased with the results but may change this up a little when I make future cards. And I should've added a gem for the eye but didn't want to dig for it. C'est la vie!

Oh, Deborah, this is beautiful, and I love it just the way it is! Beautifully done with this gorgeous bird, and I love the wonderful background and the glittery "you" for the sentiment! Stunning card, my friend!
