I just love today's colors and I couldn't resist making another card with the subtles that Karen chose. This time I stamped my initial outline by inking my stamp with Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi markers and then spritzing with water. I scribbled marker onto my acrylic block and used an Aqua pen to color the leaves and flower. I wanted a deeper blue, so for my 2nd layer of color, I dripped a reinker onto the block and colored from that. I had used my MISTI stamp positioner to stamp the initial image so I took my paper back and then stamped again with the Soft Sky and Wasabi to pick up the details again. I took a white gel pen and filled in the stamens. I used a Smoky Slate marker to add some shading inside the flower and Sahara Sand to shade around the flower. I added some white gel pen highlights too. I stamped the butterfly on a separate piece of watercolor paper and then colored it with my aqua pen. I like how the black became grey. I used my Blushing Bride marker directly to add some darker pink. I fussy cut this then ran the edge of a Basic Black marker along the edge of the piece to make the edges stand out black. I used glue dots to give it dimension over my flower. I stamped my sentiment piece then rounded the corners. For my base, I took my Wasabi marker and loosely wrote illegibly for the bg writing.
