Mary is our hostess this week and she has chosen chocolate chip, cajun craze, crushed curry, and garden green. For dessert: fall
On the Penny Black blog, Jill Foster has some great videos on how to use these "scene" stamps from PB with the MISTI - using a combination of multiple layers of stamping, embossing and sponging. I used some of her techniques here - basically, you stamp the scene, one section at a time, by coloring with markers on the stamp, or with sponges on the stamp, and stamp repeatedly. Then you cover your stamp with versamark and emboss the whole thing in clear ep which allows you to add color by sponging (or watercoloring) wherever you want. I sponged the sky, and the ground behind the fence. Love this technique, and love the results. Added a border strip and thin gold foil strip. The sentiment panel is popped up with dimensionals.

Oh WOW - this is stunning and caught my eye straight away. Definitely one of my favourites. How pleased you must be with the way it turned out. I could just about imaging myself walking into it - with a little dog on a lead - just enjoying the brilliant colours and the sniff of Autumn in the air. Wonderful.

I'm waiting for my MISTI to be delivered and never thought to be able to use it like this - I will now! Thanks for the inspiration and your beautiful card. Glad you shared with us at Penny Black & More.
