This is for IC559 - Eco-cycled. Those who know me know I use a lot of text and script on cards, but rarely an actual book page. That's because I like to control the words that are going to show, or have the text or script be random or unreadable. With a book page, there's always going to be some word you don't want showing up in some obvious place. And you often can't find a page that's the right color and size of text which also has any relationship to the subject of the image, which is what happened here. You'll see my solution to this pretty easily if you look at the text around the butterfly. Maybe I shouldn't be so concerned about this, but it made me feel better to address it at least where it bothered me the most, and I like what I came up with as a solution. Although it still irks me (like that word "army" just below the right hand wing - duh!) and I'll probably never send anyone this card.
And yes, you just saw this butterfly, on the card before the last one I uploaded. I am having something of a love affair with it. These infatuations never last long, but while they do I believe in making the most of them.
But despite my agonies with the text, there is a bright side here. I have never - I don't think - done any card with a torn edge anywhere on it. But I decided to step outside my die-hard die-cut comfort zone and do it today. I always love it on other people's cards but it always looks like a mistake on my own. This one turned out acceptable, though. After a bunch of trial runs. ;-)! So: personal growth!
Lovely inspiration board! (It even inspired me, and I'm going through a low-mojo period to beat the band).
TFL!

I like to read the pages that people use, and it's rare I find some totally glaring anomaly. Although I seem to have a recollection of SU having to withdraw some paper once, maybe. Laughing at the trial runs on the torn edges but I do understand; there are some things I think always look better for other people than me.
And the background print is absolutely gorgeous

Another gorgeous bg for your butterfly....and don't feel bad about using it again...it's a really pretty butterfly ;) I'm kind of the same way about using texts and seeing some inappropriate word staring me in the face..haha..but you may want to pick up a foreign language book at Half Price books or somewhere and then you can use text with abandon! ( or at least you probably won't stress about all the Romanian speaking SCSers out there...there's probably only a few).

WOW, Robin! You aced this technique and I just love the torn paper panels! You even tore the one corner perfectly for that mat! Love the background you chose for this too! And why wouldn't you send this card? It's wonderful!
