Oh, my - did you ever have one of those stamps that you think is cute and that SHOULD be easy to color up and then you just struggle and struggle with it? That was me this week with this cute little Pure Innocence girl. I don't even want to count how many attempts are in the trash can. But I just kept at it on and off all week. In the end, though the stamp WILL get added to the donate box, I am happy with how this one came out. The card will get added to the stash for my next Send a Smile mailing.
Stamped my partial image on a panel of white PTI cardstock and again on a post-it. Cut out the latter and masked the image on the cardstock panel. Sponged my sky with Hero Arts (Soft Yellow and Soft Pool). Removed the mask and colored my image. Had the circle frame left over from another project and liked the look so I die cut a same-sized circle from my focal image panel. Cut a 2nd time on scrap cardstock for added dimension. Adhered all layers.
Cut an asymmetic panel of Bazzill Dazzling Diamonds cardstock and from SU cardstock. Assembled the card and then stamped the Ellen Hutson sentiment. Finished off with some Wink of Stella on her hair and some of the hearts on her shirt. Used a Copic multi-liner and Black Spica pen to enlarge her eyes a bit and called it done.
TFL!

I'm glad you stuck with it Debbie. This is really adorable. And of course, your colouring is always amazing! Look at you with the asymmetric panel --- way to let go!

Outstanding coloring again, Debbie!! Love that image and I DO agree with you. The hair on these little girls was such a struggle! You managed beautifully and glad you hung in there!

I noticed right away your subtle asymmetric cut of your main image layer. I love it and of course your beautiful coloring of your adorable little girl. Your soft sky colors are so pretty too Debbie. I'm so glad you did not give up. TFS my friend. Hugs, Nancy

Eek! Debbie, don't put this stamp in the "donate" box! I love it, and what an adorable card you've made with it! She is so sweet, and I love the shading and the circle frame! And the wonky matted layer is fabulous! Totally in love with this one (and just about ALL your cards, my friend - really!!). Hugs! xoxo (P. S. What is this PI stamp called?)
