I'd love to make a feather-based card as one of the options for Anna's Birds of a Feather MIX challenge. Maybe tomorrow if I get a good start on cooking prep for a family celebration.
In the meantime, this has already moved from Plan A to B to C. Plan A - I stencilled some acrylic and left it to dry - and then couldn't find my Brushos anywhere. Ten minutes looking and I gave up - I have to go shopping before I can even start cooking, and time is tight today.
I could find my spray diffuser, so I tried ink over my stencilling, but even my palest blue ink was stronger than I wanted.
So, plan C - use Gelatos instead of Brushos, dot the acrylic on instead of stencilling it. I had already prepared the branch, adding a little texture by embossing it with clear EP and pressing it into the Canvas background stamp while it was still soft. I added red to the bird for contrast, sponged the edges of the panel with ColorBox Aqua and popped it up on foam.
Time to go and do the shopping!

Although it took you some experimenting to get here, and perhaps it isn't what you had envisioned in your head when you started, all I can see is a really lovely card!
I love the text on the bird, and the way you used EP and a stamp to texture the branch. That's something I've never tried!

There should be more Plan C's in this world. Sabrina every inch of this, including the beautiful white CAS bits, look wonderful. I know your dinner is going to be just as special as your card.

This is a perfect CAS card -- I like the way you put the musical notes for the bird's singing - very nice Sabrina!!
