I made this for Lydia's DTGD challenge. We'd love for you to join in & for all the details go to the Dare to Get Dirty Forum ..but you'll need to be a Fan Club member. It's sooooo easy!
This card looks simple, but it was off the charts aggravating! I was having one of THOSE days. I dropped or lost most everything I touched. And for the life of me, I can't figure out why my supplies want to hide. When I drop them in the middle of the floor, they will scoot or shoot half way across a room to get under a piece of furniture like they're sliding into home! And this requires getting down on my knees w/ a flashlight & long stick (yes I have one just for this purpose) to retrieve them. Dies are the worst..they are the same color as the hardwood floor..& they require the magnet extension on my screwdriver. I had to carry around so many retrieval tools, I felt like a vacuum cleaner w/ full attachments.
Anyway, the scene was stamped across the blank spot in an Embossing Folder Stamped piece. I didn't like the way the embossing folder stamped piece turned out so the white topper covered it all up, lol. I also stamped the scene on the white then added a little mitre cornered frame around it. The black zigzag was die cut, the greeting & sequins added.
Thanks so much for looking & I hope you've been playing & having as much fun w/ the DTGD challenges as we have! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Super card, Julie, and I had a chuckle reading your post. Sliding into home? I know exactly what you mean. :-)

Julie, this is gorgeous!!! So gorgeous!!! I love the framing of your city scene and your sequins, oh my! Beautiful!
SO glad to hear that I am not the only one that drops things and has them rush off to hide! It's crazy how far things fly! I am glad you persevered on this because it's amazing!
