I REALLY went "off book" with the sketch this time! The patterned paper I ended up choosing was so busy, I decided to alter the sketch considerably, and add embellishments to the upper corners as well as below my greeting panel. I felt the "floating" embellishments in the sketch would just get lost, so I grounded everything to my focal panel. I printed the greeting on white cardstock with my laser printer, foiled it with red foil, & inked the panel with Antique Linen. After rounding the corners, I went around the edges with Aged Mahogany, just to define the panel a bit more against the background. I colored the poinsettia & holly leaves with colored pencils, and stamped the berries with Festive Berries (very original, I know :P). Finally, I assembled my card, popping the poinsettia up on foam tape & gluing the leaves, berries, & sprigs down flat, behind my greeting panel. I went over the leaves on the poinsettia with my clear Wink of Stella, & added Stickles to the center.
