Stencil monoprint is colouring the stencil itself. Many colouring mediums can be used. Spray with water, flip it over and press onto watercolour or mixed media paper and blot to keep the stencil open areas free of colour. A great way to use the reverse (or negative) of a stencil.
I used three colours of distress inks and watercolour paper for today's card. After it was dry, I placed the stencil back over top, lining up the sunflower image and added a layer of embossing paste. I finished the card by added a torn, vellum sentiment banner, heat embossed in white. It was hard to capture a good photo of this card, but hopefully you can see the added texture from the paste. A great way to use both the negative and positive of the stencil.

Gorgeous! I love that you added a layer of paste - brings in so much depth. The way you did the sentiment is beautiful too. Awesome card, stencil, and technique, Loll. HUgz
