If I had seen this card in the gallery, I would never in a million years have thought I made that background for Eunice and George.
All my thanks go to Elizabeth for the BRILLIANT tutorial here at SCS....check it out here .
I didn't have all the correct Copic or SN markers so I added a few Prismacolour pencils to the grass.
The frame looks a dit dodgy. I bought what I thought was a frame die set, turns out they are just rectangles...oh well, I guess that's what a craft knife and ruler are for LOL.
Edit: I forgot to mention that Eunice and George were fussy cut and placed on the card. I only adhered them at their feet and centre of their bodies. It kinda gives a 3D feel, without being bulky. I also gently dragged a walnut stained foam blending tool over them and also over the background.
Thanks so much for looking.

Susie I love it! Makes me smile :-) Such gorgeous owls and I LOVE your background! Fantastic clouds and I love the colour in the grass - I might have to try mixing pencils and copics :-)

Adorable! This card totally made me smile for all the right reasons. I love how you colored and mounted these lovely owls. I have never tried using pencils before with copic markers, and the effect is wonderful. Your clouds look so real and fluffy which is not something I am good at all, so I admire this greatly! Too cute! ~Karen.

I am thinking these Owls live in Melbourne - they look as if they are nicely rugged up for the blasts from roaring 40ies. Mind you they would fit in here nicely too at the moment. Love their matching outfits and the frame looks good too. Don't you hate it when you expect "frames" from the dies and they turn out to be something else - I have fallen for a couple too - or perhaps it just me - and I need more lessons. he he

When I first saw these two owls I said to myself....Hmmm, someone clipped off some of Susie's owls and popped them on their own card. But, lo and behold, it IS your own whole card. You've gone out of your box and done something that is also quite Impressive!!! Your clouds have a Wonderful dimensional effect! And the grass...well, those two birds should be very proud to be standing in that Lovely grass (Great Job!). I'm thinking George and Eunice have been bundled up in their Snazzy outfits and are about to be whisked off to their first day of school. (Their mama has probably taken this photo and it hangs proudly on their owl walls.) They seem to have that "Do I have to go?" look in their eyes. As the wise owls they are, they decide it is a wise decision to go without fussing. There's an old saying..."If mama ain't happy, nobody's happy!" They will also gain more wisdom through many years of schooling. But the "happy mama" thing will probably be the best bit of wisdom they can absorb, as they will find out over the years.
How very nice having the owl children visiting us. I do miss the dohickies, but your frame is Awesome! This is encouraging me to crawl out of my box too. Thank you.
