I am still working on thank you notes for graduation presents. My son is cracking me up. He is sure to mention when he writes in the notes that his mom created the card. On one of them he said, "cardmaking is not my scene" and on one he said, "I don't do pink"! LOL
I had a lot of fun creating this with the Vintage watercolor technique even though I changed it up a bit by stamping over the top of my bird image after water coloring to get a little definition added back in. I used just a hint of red on the bird's belly.
Thanks Carla for fun the challenge of using chocolate colors!!!

Angie this is so beautifully done. I can only imagine what your son is writing inside the cards. If he is anything like my DH when I make the cards I have him write the insides, I see some very funny things when I get the cards back to sign them once he gets a hold of them. Seriously, this card and that technique, I need to try this one for sure!

Looking at the icon, I thought this was a sailboat, but no, it's a darling little bird. I love the watercolouring and the soft vintage look. A beautiful card!

Angie, this is beautiful! Your bird is so pretty and the script on the sides is the perfect touch to frame it. The people receiving your son's thank you notes must be thrilled by your art and tickled by his messages ;) Thank you for playing in my challenge.
