For today's Teapotters challenge to create a card with a summer picnic.
As soon as I read summer picnic my thoughts went to when my children were little and how their first grade teacher always hosted a teddy bear picnic. The picnic was always during our coldest month of the year but the kids could change into summer clothes to celebrate!
Parents were invited and blankets and baskets were brought to the school. And of course the song, "Teddy Bear Picnic" would be playing while we sat on the floor on our picnic blankets and ate!
Fussy cut the images and added the girl teddy bear and the basket with foam tape. Cut the flowers from a recycled magazine.
Thanks for the wonderful challenge and for jogging my memory of fun times when my children were young! TFL!

Ann, this is adorable. I love the bears peeking over the music. You've brought back so many memories of when my children were little. I remember these picnics. We had some at our house too. Think it's time to treat my grandsons to one!!!

Ann this is so cute and clever. I didn't want your story to end. Your card layout, with the sheet-music background, is so precious. It is good to know that the 'Teddy Bear Picnic' is universally loved and still celebrated.
