The challenge was to make a summer vacation card. I used a woodgrain folder lightly inked with white craft ink before embossing. The stamp set is one of my oldies-but-goodies SU sets from 1998 called Bon Voyage!, so I thought it was theme appropriate. The cruise ship was hand cut, then the "waves" in the stamp were colored Island Indigo to blend with the water using an Aqua Painter. I hand-tore the "horizon" following natural lines of the embossing folder to leave it rough so it would look like waves on the horizon. I might sponge in some clouds before I send it.

Super card. The tearing of the paper and the embossing folder used is such a clever idea. It really gives you the feeling of rolling waves. Thanks for joining us at TGIF - Chlo x

Great card Donna! Love the embossed 'ocean' and the torn layer. The use of all the blues make for a fabulous boating card. Thanks for playing along this week at TGIF CHallenges. Rochelle xo

Donna - this is such a fantastic use of the woodgrain folder! You almost would convince me that I didn't need the seascape folder (though I already bought it!) Nonetheless, very clever! Love the simple look to the rest of the card. Thanks for joining us at TGIF!
