When I started Creative Chemistry 101, I said I was going to do the whole class without using brown. Well I caved. I bought my first set of blueprints stamp... and I drank the grunge kool-aid I was attempting to do the Distress Stain marble technique on 110lb Neenah. It didn't so much marble... but I still liked how it turned out. You just have to be sure to dry it really well since it soaks into this paper more than manilla. I tried the piece on a white card base... and it was too stark. So I inked up the edges with some brown. And I don't hate it Not my usual style, but perfect for this piece. On the inside, I pieced together a sentiment that says "to the world's best dad."
The Week 2 Challenge for Summer of Creative Chemistry is simply to use Distress Stains on a product. Pretty open-ended, eh?
SSS Wednesday Challenge is all about guys/Father's Dad, so I'm also entering this over there.
