This is for Carla’s Ways to Use It Challenge – Trash to Treasure. When I first read the challenge, I didn’t know what to do because my stash of potential “trash to treasure” was “lost” in the move of my craft supplies from one room to another. I think my DH thought it was actually trash and tossed it all; if he only knew! Today’s junk mail to rescue! A soliciting “invitation” for TV service was printed on this wonderful silver paper with lots of open space for me to use. The part that grabbed my attention was the white swirls. My flower fit right in-between. The flower was embossed and die-cut from a calendar page, not “trash” but still re-purposed. Fun challenge. Thank you for looking at my card today.

Diane, Beautiful card, I love the silver and purple combo and how the embossing on the flower picks up the bg pattern. Marvelous recycling of your junk mail and definitely Trash to Treasure! Thanks for playing in my challenge.

Diane, that invitation paper is wonderful and perfect for today's challenge. You used it most effectively on your card and the embossed flower is a pretty accent.

That purple flower is stunning! This might fit the TLC589 Faux cloisonne challenge this week too! I'm not sure if the embossing for that one has to be gold or silver, though

How classy and elegant, Diane! That silver and purple combination is just gorgeous. I'm thinking that our junk mail is very boring in comparison with yours.
