Hello, my sweet friends! Well, if you've not yet heard, Power Poppy is having a blow-out birthday celebration for Marcy who just loves to celebrate! I'm using one of the THREE newly remixed digital images she's releasing today, and they are all great for masculine cards. The sentiments are great and include some that are perfect for Father's Day that is coming up. As many of you know, I really struggle with masculine cards.
I used X-Press It Blending Card because it was so much easier for blending large areas like the sky. I had to Google images of fly-fishing to see what color a trout was and some ideas for the outfit. But it was fun, and I used the new Wonky Stitched Rectangles die and matted it with green. And I just added "happy birthday" to add to my stash that I will need for one of our three sons and two grandsons. So one down - hehe!
So, dear friends, thanks for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you have a wonderful week coming up. Big hugs!

I don'T think there is a subject you can'T master...this is amazing. You chose such perfect colors, and with your amazing talent with copics you created another masterpiece. Faved

Cheryl this is fabulous! What a great image and perfect for the guy who's hard to make a card for. Wonderful coloring as always and I, too, Google things to get the right colors ;) Love the wonky frame, too.

Cheryl, you really are a master of copics! I have a profound respect for anyone who can color the large open spaces and you did it beautifully! Love the highlights and shadows in the water. What an incredibly wonderful, masculine card!

Looks like you got that trout just right to me. Your coloring on all of the image is great! The wonky stitched framing is one of my favorite lately, although I don't own it. I keep seeing it though and really like it!

This is so wonderful, Cheryl, despite what you say about doing masculine cards well. I think the sky/water and fisherman are wonderful. I was especially taken with your stitched line. So creative. Gotta love those wonky stititched dies, too. So I think this is a really neat card for one of 3 sons.
