Take Care (Pleated Skirt Fold) - MR by StitchesandSmudges at Splitcoaststampers
I love the colors and papers she used and all her special touches. I am trying to use up some older paper to make room for all the fresh colors and paper that SU! will have in their new catalog. I used up some Eastern Elegance DSP on this card but it's not gone quite yet. My changes for the case: different paper & colors, I used the same corner punch as Melanie did, but did not repeat it at the top. I did not use any dry embossing. I ran a ribbon across the middle instead of cardstock. Used a different flower, but kept the layered look. To make my flower, I stamped the image three times in each of the colors, punched apart the circles and arranged it back alternating the colors on top of a Cabana scallop circle. I left off the sentiment for now. I learned a lot doing the pleated skirt fold for the first time. I will definitely be trying it again. Thanks Melanie for sharing your cards and for the inspiration to try something new. Thanks for looking at mine! |
