The challenge is to make a card representing what you're interested in. I'm a foster parent. I bring kids into my family that have had very few life experiences. I love to take them places they've never been. I take them to museums, local events, amusement parks, etc. Next week, I'm taking my 3 foster kids and my two grand daughters to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in California. This summer, I'd like to take them to the beach in Southern California where I was raised. I have a boy who has never been to any amusement park. I have a 3 year old autistic girl who never experienced rain, let alone sand on a beach. It gives me great pleasure to see their reactions to new things. I love this sentiment (Summer by the Sea) "Joy is not in things, it is in us." Thanks for taking a peek!

Wow, I love this!! I love the fact that you raise foster kids...I have a few special real life friends who do that...I say special because it takes a special person to be able to do it!!
I was born and raised in S Cal. too, Manhattan Beach on 10th street (in case you know it). I was never a city girl however and left as soon as I was able...for the country...just inside me I think! I live in the mountains now in central Cal.
I love your little girl by the sea...that is a favorite stamp set of mine too! Beautiful and thanks for playing!

Oh your write up just touched my heart. To care for and love these children is fantastic, but to give them experiences that they would never have is just exceptional. Your card is lovely with gentle colors and such a inspirational message. A huge thank you right from my heart for caring for these kids in need.Faved

I love your card, it is pretty, but most of all I love your heart and what you are doing with your foster children. They will love all the new experiences.

There's a special wonder on the face of anyone who has never been to a beach at any age...and I bet they will yell their little hearts out at the amusement park on the rides!
You are an earth angel to do what you do. ((hugs)) Thank you. Positive experiences at those ages can really make such a huge difference to turn around bad ones. It doesnt erase them, but creates balance and opens the door to know there are other ways.
