I was going to turn this sketch, but instead decided to just turn the greeting. I paper pieced my chicken and the color bands on the edge of the card. I got this chart and graph tape from a friend when her husbands office was throwing it out. So I used it to separate the sections of the sketch. I stamped the little bunch of "peeps" for the inside of the card just above a computer generated sentiment. The chicken is mounted on an acrylic spring I made by cutting an acrylic circle into a spiral and gluing the chicken to it and to the card panel so it wiggles when the card is moved.
This card if for a friend who is moving away and leaving all her peeps.

Adorable! Love that dancing paper-pieced chicken. Perfect for the occasion. Your friend will love it. Wonderful use of the colors and creative take on the sketch. I like the edging you used. Great card. TFS

I love seeing this oldie used in new ways, Pat! Love the fabulous sketch you created as well as the beautiful paper piecing. I know for a fact that this chick doesn't have a corresponding die so I am more than awed and impressed with your fabulous fussy cutting skills what a score on your friend's garbage;) you have found the perfect use for that tape! Oh, the power of the creative mind to see purpose in discards. I purchased some of those acrylic springs...they do no good in my drawer, so perhaps I can take this as inspiration! Good on you creating your own spring, too.
