I messed up today. Sigh. I was studying when my neighbor texted me to invite me to take a walk in an hour. I continued with my study and even looked at the clock at 9:30. The study requires some computer work so I headed to my computer and FORGOT all about the walk. Not a thought of it in my head until I heard the jingle of my neighbor's dog bells. I looked at the clock and not only was I five minutes late but I wasn't dressed for walking yet! Sigh. I am hoping this card makes up for it just a bit.
Many of you know that we share our home with an all black feline who features prominently in many of my cards and photo bombs as many photography sessions as possible but we also have a very sweet kitty named Lil Bit. I often look at her and just know that she is thinking, "I am the good one, you know". I thought it would be fun to feature her today, so this is Lil Bit!
It's my goal each week to create a card for the wonderful Featured Stamper challenge even though I might not be able to play along on Sundays. This week's FS483 is the lovely Carla aka Covingtoncrafter and her gallery is full of sweet cards! I found THIS cute card and THIS one. I hope you have enjoyed being our Featured Stamper this week Carla!!
For my design, I played along with Ally's beautiful SC592challenge.
Sabrina's fun WT583 challenge is to have an owl or a cat or both and that fit right in with the inspiration I found in Carla's gallery and my need for an apology card!

I love Newton... He's on my sometime wish list when I stop feeling overwhelmed by what I already have. Great angled layout to make a room for him... or her, if it's Lil Bit. The wallpaper is beautiful. When I saw an email notification that you had posted a card, I was sure it would be a cat ;-). I too thought owls were the majority... interesting that you say on a second look they are almost equal. I guess Julie's 8 kitties on one card helps!!
DH has moved office and now sometimes gets the train instead of going on the motorbike. Last week I got a plaintive phonecall about quarter to six saying "I've missed my train". I thought he meant he'd got to the station and it had gone early, but no...he'd done just what you did, and was still at his desk, having totally lost track of the time.

Your bg paper is So Pretty and the perfect inspiration for your image colors, Angie! Beautiful kitty Lil Bit, and so shy because of what has happened! Lovely coloring and a nice gesture on your part for your neighbor~

Yes, Lil Bit needs to be in the limelight, also. Your card is so cute, Angie, and I'm sure your neighbor has forgiven you and will love this card. Good job with the wallpaper and great you got in so many challenges with this one card. BTW, I have Georgia visitors coming today. You should hitch a ride and come with them.

Adorable card. Love how you personalized it by featuring your own cat. Beautiful colors, love that paper. Adorable image. I'm sure your sweet card meant a lot to your neighbor. Not too many people would take the time or trouble to do that for being late. You inspire me! TFS
