Peggy is our hostess this week, and she has challenged us with a bright color palette and a yummy dessert option. The colors are Real Red, Sahara Sand and Cucumber Crush, and she has invited us all to a picnic!
This card was easy for me because I have very few stamps with food on them. When I thought of this set, I also immediately thought of a recent Freshly Made Sketch that I thought would be perfect. I love it when a card appears in my head, fully formed, and all I need to do is translate into paper and ink!
I stamped the fruits with the green ink, carefully trying to get the green only on the “correct” parts of the images. Turned the stamps over and cleaned the extraneous green off with a Dove blender pen. Then I applied the red ink with a marker. Stamped and punched them out with a square punch, then created the mats with my Perfect Layers tool.
Meanwhile I stamped the background in VersaMark and embossed with Wow! Clear matt dull embossing powder. DonÂ’t know what I did wrong; itÂ’s shiny! Oh well, IÂ’m not unhappy with the result. Sponged all over with Distress Pumice Stone for the Sahara Sand-like color.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Cute! Wonderful & healthy sweet treats for a picnic. I like the layout. The background works great with the squares. The green lace is perfect. Awesome card. TFS
