I love playing around with background techniques and discovered a way to make a pretty linen look background for this card on a piece of plain card stock.
I had a bottle of hair conditioner from the dollar store I decided I didn't need so played around with it in the craft room. I added some Lindy's Stamp gang Magicals (lucky shamrock I think) but it just clumped up in the gel so I added a dropper of pine needles re-inker and that worked a little better. I brushed it on my card stock with a 1" brush both horizontally and vertically. Because the conditioner is thick it left brush marks creating a linen look. When the paper dried it felt so soft and silky. (maybe I should use it on my hair) The only problem I see is that it isn't easy to attach stuff to it with a dot roller, I had to resort to a liquid glue pen.

Wow, what a great idea you've come up with!! That background certainly looks like linen! It is gorgeous, as is the floral image! Wonderful piece of art!
