I'm convinced - there ARE advantages to not being a stamper who keeps her stamp room all nice and neat - there can be inspiration in those leftovers that get moved around and co-mingled. (Yeah, yeah, it's a stretch, but hey, it's working for me this week so that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
Had this "smile" die leftover from when I made this card a few weeks ago. It managed to find its way on top of a piece of this dotted DSP that had been discarded from another project. Hmmmm...black/white/yellow, dots...why not?
Cut the DSP to 4" x 2.75" and cut out the smile and laid aside (you may see it on something else down the road!). Cut the smile on 2 more pieces of scrap white cardstock. Used glossy accents to create the 3 layered word and inlaid into the DSP. Used a scrap piece of black cardstock to raise the DSP layer up a bit and matted to a larger piece of black cardstock.
Matted to a panel of white cardstock, just slightly smaller than my card base.
Easy peasy!
