Sweet friends, I usually try to be up beat to make everyone smile, however, my heart is broken. My 2 sons and I held our Sweet Dolly the insomniac dog as she peacefully passed away last night. Fot the past 16 yeard, Dolly was our constant companion and the only family member that was always happy. I knew it would be hard to loose her, but I still was not prepared for how heart breaking it would be. We were in our yard and she did not suffer. Just minutes before she died, a beautiful humming bird fluttered for several minutes drinking from a flowering plant near where we were sitting on the grass. I made this altered book last week for the F4A challenge not knowing that we would loose Dolly. I had planned to make an elegant CAS card and was trying to channel my inner Anne Ryan and Karen Dunbrook. When my mind ran in the other direction, I was a little mad. I also did not know what I was going to do with it. Now it will remind me of my best friend and the hummingbird that led her to heaven. I hope she is in a beautiful place like this. TFL, Francie

Oh, Francie, my heart breaks for you! Losing a beloved family member is so very hard. How special that her last moments were in a wonderful setting with her family close. And what a beautiful reminder of the life y'all shared. Love and hugs, sweet friend!

Francie, you stole our hearts with your description, and SO sorry about Dolly. The card- phenomenal as are all your cards combined with your use of bright, happy colors even in sad times. But losing the dog that helped you create at odd hours, think we all feel the loss of Dolly. Your card depicts the paradise that I hope she is in. So terribly sorry, Francie.

Such a beautiful way to send Dolly off, over the Rainbow Bridge! I am so very sorry about Dolly's passing, what a beautiful calling to another home by the hummingbird.

Dogs are family members but their lives way too short. My eyes welled up as I thought of my old dog who passed away a year and a half ago. What a wonderful card to remember your best friend with. It so bright and beautiful with the humming bird in the middle.
My heart goes out to you and your family, but remember all dogs go to heaven we just have to make sure we can meet them there.

Oh Francie, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. You and your boys must be suffering from this tragic loss. I think the card you've crafted in her precious honor is so wonderful: It's how I envision the rainbow bridge. You and I, girl, will make our stop there immediately to rescue our beloved pets. You've done your sweet little Dolly justice in making a card in her honor and in your traditional grand style. My heart hurts because I know the pain of loosing our best friends and companions. Hugs and love, my friend.

OH Francie, I am so sorry for your loss of Dolly. Reading your words brought me right back to the day we had to say good-bye to our Elvis, so I know how hard this is. Sending hugs!
