Most of the time when I journal in my Bible, it is of things I want to remember that God has taught me through other people, certain situations, sermons, devotionals, etc. Sometimes I will journal entire devotionals if the Spirit has touched my heart by every single word of the devotional. But THIS journal entry... well, I simply recorded the happenings of my day.
I am a migraine sufferer and O... M... let me just tell you... if you've never had a migraine that sends you to the hospital, give yourself a big fat hug from me because I admire your position. And if you are like me and end up hugging the white throne (and no, I don't mean a heavenly throne in prayer), then not only do you get a hug but I will officially crown you with a trophy to stand with the best of us! UGH!
I HATE MIGRAINES.
When my nieces and nephews were little, I baby sat A LOT. I was only twelve with the most of them were popped out so I thought I was IN heaven playing adult and caring for so many precious babies. As they began to grow and understand life, they would see me suffer with my migraines. I felt so loved when they would be sad if I couldn't watch them due to my suffering. One time, one of my nephews (about age four) asked if I had a "stupid migraine." I told him yes and he said, "Migraines suck lemons." I thought I would die laughing... I couldn't laugh of course because of the "stupid migraine" but OM how that sweet lil guy made me feel better. So ever since then, when I hear someone say something "sucks," I try to put a spin on it and say "it sucks LEMONS."
See how journaling is so awesome... we have all kinds of stories to tell and even if they help only ourselves, then the help has accomplished exactly what it was intended to do!
Thank you, again, Audrie, for asking me to offer some encouragement for this week's Inspiration Challenge!

Great verses. I love your page and what you had to share in your story. I know a few people who have migraines and now I will think how those migraines "suck lemons" when they mention them.
