I just watched a watercolor video by Bonnie Krebs, Art Impressions. Using one marker, she created a lovely monochromatic watercolor. She inspired me to try her technique.
I used Rosewood Marvy marker to ink stamp, huffed and stamped on watercolor paper. Using a damp brush, added initial shading. Scribbled marker on a tile palette and added final shading. Die cut frames, sponged edges, stamped sentiment on strip and trimmed ends with die.
Stamped branches on kraft matt and extended off page onto card base. Added ribbon to matt and assembled panels, using foam tape to pop up image and sentiment panels. TFL

Carla, this is amazingly colored. I watched the video (thanks 4 the link) and never thought about using a marker to WC. I love the design and the color is so warm. For your first attempt, you did a grand job.

Love how this turned out - soft yet still unmistakably masculine for a great Father's Day card!!

Beautiful card. I would never have guessed you did all that with a single marker. Your shading is fantastic. I also never would have guessed you hadn't done this technique a hundred times! TFS
