When I decided not to give a work colleague the Triple Easel tropical card I made for a recent WT challenge, I still wanted to stick with a tropical feel for her card as she went on a Caribbean cruise for her honeymoon last year. I decided to revisit the Box Card tutorial - it's been a long time since I tried one.
I used SU's Botanical Blooms paper for the box, and the foreground of the scene inside, and for the bellyband. Everything else is oddments of Bazzill.
After making the box, I made an insert and put my tropical scene on it with palm trees and a flamingo.
For the bellyband, I used Edgeabilities to create a long strip, and then proceeded to pretty much hide it totally with my tropical wreath! Spellbinders circles and Lacy Circles, an SU sentiment, and then lots of flowers and foliage. As I couldn't easily find my Beautiful Wings embosslit, I stamped the larger butterfly from Papillon Potpourri onto another scrap of Bazzill, embossed with white and added a diecut body (Memory Box die, perfect size for this butterfly).
