The Sketch Challenge (SC585) today turned out to be almost as challenging as the colors were yesterday. I made it even harder on myself by choosing to resize the fancy die & try to cut the greeting w/ a curved die.
After stamping the bike scene w/ Memento, coloring w/ Copics & over stamping w/ Versafine, I die cut it. But as mentioned, I had to make the fancy die a little narrower to fit inside the red layer. The die is mirrored on either side so I had to cut it to just shy of the center point, turn it around, bring the opposite side in & cut to again, almost the center point. The end result removed about 3/8″ of the center section. Then I had to repeat this to varying degrees w/ the other two, smaller panels. Aye yi yi! I probably just should have used a plain die, but I wanted more of the red to show through.
The sky was mostly sponged..I masked just the top area of the fence then filled in between the fence boards w/ a Copic. Had to take the easy route for something, lol. Closeups, the inside & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Gorgeous scene and I love the sentiment. Aren't you the clever girl to figure out the die like this!
