Hard to believe I hadn't broken this Prima stencil out...but today was the day...and I had an absolute blast. Though I would have said it was a fail in the beginning. The stones were sponged with 3 shades of TH distress inks. Paper Accents was applied to the top of each 'stone'. I think it is old and dried to a bumpy more naturalistic finish. It certainly made more of my pathway that I had hoped. Once it was dry, I rubbed Gelatos between the stones.
Tore the piece to fit the size card I had in mind. Added the sentiment that 'Every Path has it's Puddles'...though this one is high and dry.
CraftyMerla...I just love the store on my studio...it yields the best finds.
Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to hear what you think of my stone pathway sans puddles...

The coloring you chose for your stone is really Beautiful!!! They look very realistic. Some even look like they have some water droplets on them. You did a Great job! tfs

Oh gosh - what a brilliant sentiment. Mind you, it was that amazing pathway that first caught my eye. It's one of those cards you wish you could reach into the screen and feel. At first it made me think of old slates - but then I thought of stones I have seen in Greece that were almost like toffee, marbled colour and silky soft. What a wonderful pathway to wherever - puddles or not!!
