For Sabrina's gray with yellow vsn challenge. We reviewed the toned gray sketch technique at our last swap group. I added black, gray and white to a stamped image on toned gray paper for shading and highlighting. The star is colored yellow.
This is tender. I made and sent this card when I learned that a former colleague had been placed on hospice. She passed before it was delivered. My challenge card for Dr Sonja is headed for her family now... She was an amazing, inspiring educator and a remarkable friend, courageous in her 8 year battle against ovarian cancer.
Tender.

Oh Brenda, what a moving write-up. I can see why you said "tears on my keyboard". I remember the last card I sent my mother, she was already unconscious on morphine before it arrived, and I was glad to be the one sitting with her when it was delivered to her room, so that I could just tuck it in my purse. This is simply beautiful - the yellow star really is a little ray of brightness and the colouring on the angel is marvellous.

Beautiful card. Love the shading you achieved on the grey paper. The bright yellow star is a perfect touch of brightness. The yellow mat looks great, too. Angel hugs for the tender heartache and for your loss. You were blessed to know this special person. Thank you for sharing.
