Vicki is our hostess this week and she has chosen: crumb cake. sahara sand, crisp cantaloupe and the desert is dots. I am using a technique that Jennifer McGuire demonstrated on her blog to make a card where the top portion is either vellum (like Jennifer did) or clear acetate (like I did), enabling your pretty pp to show through on the top of your card. It was VERY hard to photograph so I chose 2 photos – this one shows the front. I hope you get how it works, it really gives the card a creative look IRL.
I did mine a bit differently but check out her video if interested:
My top small butterfly is vellum, and I spattered the same colors (with diluted ink) with a paintbrush. Dots are on my buttefly.
Come and join in the challenge – you may be our next favorite!!

So very gorgeous! Love the color layers on the butterflies and the partial cut of white card stock combined with the clear sheet in order to see the dsp in the background. A stunning card, Maura!

Incredible detail Maura ... the papers are perfect for the butterflies giving that whimsy feel and the splatters work wonderfully. I love the way you have done the butterflies and of course the design itself with the acetate and vellum ... love it bunches.
