but that wasn't all that inspired me: I was also inspired by the F4A314 challenge (hence the envelope added), and by catluvr2 who used beautiful scoring on her single layer card today too!
The How: I decided to stick closely to the minimalist theme with technique #2-Single Layer Card. I just markered my stamp (using the colors shown there), then spritzed it with glimmer mist (it has a delicate sparkle that way), and stamped it on my card base. (I used my glitter pen too adding just a few more twigs of sparkle, but it's so discreet you would need to see it in real life to catch that.) Finally, I added a sentiment in a neutral sepia tone and did a few score lines under the fern near the sentiment (hope you can see them). To create my envelope I used the same stamping technique, with a few vintage stamps in a nature theme, and stamped slightly over the image with that cute little stamp I bought years ago that says:
"Handstamped because Email just isn't good enough."
...which I thought went really well with the F4A314 challenge, and might make a postal worker smile too!
I love them both and they were easy and fast fun! Are you also having fun today playing 'minimalist' with us?! Please join us!
Hugs,
Audrie

Gorgeous card! I love the watercolour look of that fern! Your decorated envelope is beautiful as well. I think this fully qualifies for the WT challenge this week as well. That sentiment on the envelope certainly put a smile on MY face! :-)

You are so wonderfully creative, Audrie. I love your tree and envelope. Amazing how you've captured the stamps perfectly. That's a sweet sentiment, too. I loved your site. Thanks for the fun challenge.
