We were talking in the forums about manila card stock/tags and I decided to try some Ranger manila tags, with less than stellar results using wet techniques. But then I saw this Jennifer McGuire video on Distress Ink lifting (http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/?s=distress+lifting) and decided to try it on one of the larger tags. Success! You really have to soak the paper with the ink to be able to lift some of the color off and I probably could've continued to lift for even greater contrast but I was afraid of pilling the paper. I really love the way it came out and I'm definitely going to try this technique again.
