Completely outside my comfort zone. This card took me all day. On and off, because I could not see how I could make a card with this crazy water color panel. I tried a technique where you get the paper wet and just put the color on one edge and let it sort of drip to the other side, I used A Muse Studio's Blush Splash for the pink color. I also splattered with some directly from the bottle once the drips and runs were dry. Then I added some Peerless watercolor splatters. Let that all dry and stamped the flower and sentiment. I came back hours later and painted the flower with the Peerless metallic gold. Then I was stumped. This is not my style. I like my Copic markers and clean lines and no splatters and well, not this! So I let the panel sit for a few more hours. And I didn't want to scrap it so I decided to try to make it become a card. I cut a card blank so my card would be 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and then die cut circles from the panel and some onyx black card stock with the stitched circles one dies from A Muse. Tied some twine on the top in Toffee. Added a few pearls in the lower "corner" of the circle. The main panel is popped up on the onyx circle. I am still not sure this is a keeper. Hubby seems to think it is ok, but he also wears mismatched socks and doesn't notice so ... sigh...

What can I say...you've gotta love a man who is not fussy about matching socks!!! I agree with your hubby, this is a real keeper. You should tip toe out of your comfort zone real soon and make another gorgeous water colour card just like this!!

Oh I love the bg you did...when I was looking at the thumbnail I thought it might be an Asian landscape because of the lines!! I would definitely do that technique again! I applaud your staying with it all day, wow, that is fantastic! Thanks for playing today!

Well at least when you go outside your comfort zone the result is fantastic. This has a wonderful artsy look. The watercolored and splattered circle makes a wonderful bg for your petite flower. Very pretty.
In spite of your hubby's mismatched socks he is right. Your card is just fine. In fact, I think it looks great! It made a very interesting, unique, and pretty backdrop for your flower!
